Dear Colleague,
The International Workshop on “Inflammation and chronic hepatitis/HIV infections: who is the driver?” will be held in Milan, Italy, January 30-31, 2014.
The International Workshop is a one and half day meeting structured with invited lectures and oral communications of original research presented by experts in the field of inflammation, especially in the settings of HIV infection and chronic hepatitis.
Given the relevant role of inflammation in the settings of HIV an
d viral hepatitis coinfections, the Scientific Committee decided to cover these topics addressing the pathogenetic role of inflammation in HIV and viral hepatitis as well as in the clinical outcome of each diseases. The workshop is also meant to unravel the possible effects of both anti-viral and anti-inflammatory therapeutical approaches in hampering disease progression.
In the idea to maximise scientific exchange, every session will be followed by a Discussion session led by a Discussant.
Young researchers will be given the opportunity to submit abstracts to present their original research. Aviralia Foundation will provide for 3 prices to the best selected abstracts from young specialists (under 40 years).
